Black Pack Special Treatment is becoming increasingly popular
The VW Black Style Package Exterior, first introduced in the Tiguan and Touareg in 2019, has proven to be a successful addition to the Volkswagen model range. 47 percent and 30 percent of all Touaregs and Tiguans sold on the South African market are equipped with this styling package. The Black Style Package was also recently introduced in the Golf GTI and Polo Vivo derivatives.
Customers in the premium segment also value security options. The Volkswagen model range has a variety of first-class driver assistance systems, and the company’s Advanced Safety Package was the best-selling optional driver assistance system, with 80 percent of the Touaregs sold in South Africa.
The trailer maneuvering assistant was the most popular option in the station wagon program, and due to its size, most Crafter customers ordered the parking assistant with a reversing camera for improved maneuverability.
2022 Volkswagen Caddy
“The panoramic sliding roof is particularly popular in the Polo GTI and Golf GTI model series, which have so far sold 90 percent of all vehicles with this option. The panoramic sliding roof is standard on the Golf R and Touareg. The only reason why we are not bringing 100 percent of the GTI models to market is that some of our corporate customers do not do without the panoramic sliding roof in their fleets, “says Steffen Knapp, Head of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand in South Africa.
Volkswagen South Africa will launch the refreshed Polo range in South Africa in January 2022 and later in 2022 the highly anticipated Taigo crossover with a range of new and improved models.
