In a post on Twitter this morning, No Excuse said, “M5 stopped this morning due to overspeeding between 95/100 mph after overtaking our unmarked car #NoExcuse # Fatal5”.
It comes when the No Excuse team in Plymouth also caught a man who had exceeded the speed limit of 50 km / h and told officers, “I didn’t think you were speeding up at night”.
The driver was later reported with the possibility of penalty points or possible criminal prosecution that could result in disqualification.
Another M5 driver was also caught driving 111 mph on the M5 at night.
Officials from the Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team tweeted a picture of their speed-sensing device that detected a driver reaching speeds of up to 111 mph near Cullompton.
The officials said at the time: “Under no circumstances is it acceptable for someone to drive at this speed.”
