Volkswagen Taigun prices increased!
With 18,000 bookings, the Taigun has become a hit for Volkswagen. Now Volkswagen has raised the prices for the Taigun slightly. The entire Taigun range is now 4,000 yen more expensive. The Taigun range now costs between 10.54 lakh and 17.54 lakh. The price increase is quite small compared to its sibling Kushaq, which received a substantial 30,000 yen price increase.
VW Taigun: a brief summary
Like other Volkswagens, the Taigun is characterized by a typically reserved design. The front has an upright face with a chrome grille with horizontal louvers. The headlights are LED projector units with LED daytime running lights. The front bumpers receive extensive chrome treatment and a silver underride guard. On the side are 16-inch steel wheels and 16-inch or 17-inch light alloy wheels, depending on the variant. The rear has LED taillights and a horizontal “Infinity” LED element that runs over the trunk. Further details are a shark fin antenna and a silver roof rail. The interior is again reserved with minimal cuts and creases.
The dashboard has a two-tone black and white theme. The dashboard has red ambient lighting to liven things up. If you choose the exterior color cherry red, the dashboard will be colored red. Depending on the variant, the seats are covered with synthetic leather and also have a ventilation function. It receives a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 6 speakers and wireless smartphone connectivity. Top-end variants also have an 8-inch virtual cockpit. Other features include wireless charging, a cooled glove compartment, USB-C charging ports, rear air conditioning openings, electrically folding mirrors, automatic air conditioning with touch-sensitive controls and the new three-spoke steering wheel with a flat bottom from Volkswagen. In terms of practicality, it has 60:40 split seats and a trunk volume of 385 liters.
The Taigun has two petrol engines and no diesel engine. The entry-level engine is a turbocharged 1.0-liter 3-cylinder TSI engine with 115 hp and 178 Nm torque. Paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. The second engine option is a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder TSI engine with 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The Volkswagen Taigun is available in 5 colors, namely Carbon Steel Gray, Candy White, Reflex Silver, Curcuma Yellow and Wild Cherry Red. The Taigun is available in 7 variants.
