Volkswagen’s Polo and Vento models are currently in high demand and require a waiting period of up to five months across the country. However, this is only subject to certain variants of both models.

  • Five polo variants have a waiting period
  • Bookings for selected Polo and Vento variants are closed
  • Taigun Midsize SUV hits the market on September 23rd

Volkswagen Polo, Vento waiting times

There is currently a waiting period of up to 5 months for the Volkswagen Polo Trendline MPI, Comfortline TSI MT, Highline Plus TSI MT, Highline Plus TSI AT and GT TSI AT variants. With the Vento, too, there is a waiting period of five months for the Highline TSI MT variant.

In addition, Volkswagen dealers no longer accept bookings for the Polo Comfortline MPI and Comfortline TSI AT, Vento Comfortline TSI MT and Highline Plus TSI MT variants. The manufacturer probably has an enormous order backlog for these variants and has therefore instructed its dealers to stop bookings. However, it is expected that the order books for these variants will be reopened after the order backlog has been reduced.

The Volkswagen Polo is available with two petrol engines. The base engine is a 76 hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder MPI engine that is only coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. This motor is only available in the Trendline and Comfortline entry-level equipment.

The other engine option is a 1.0 liter three cylinder TSI turbo petrol engine delivering 110 horsepower, which is available with either a 6-speed manual or a torque converter automatic transmission. The Vento is only available with this TSI engine and has the same transmission options as the Polo.
