Volkswagen increases prices for sporty electric SUV ID.4 GTX – Car Dealer Magazine
Volkswagen has opened the order books for its first GTX model – the ID.4 GTX.
The all-electric SUV will retail at £ 48,510 and will be the first in a line of sporty all-electric cars from Volkswagen.
The ID.4 GTX is the first electric Volkswagen with a twin-engine drive train that offers all-wheel performance.
Thanks to 295 PS and 310 Nm torque, the ID.4 GTX accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in six seconds – faster than a Golf GTI. It will also reach 112 mph at full throttle, which is 21 mph faster than the standard ID. 4.
The ID.4 GTX has also been equipped with a sports suspension and has been given a new steering set-up, which, according to VW, should contribute to more dynamic driving behavior.
All cars come with the suspension as standard, although higher spec GTX Max models also benefit from Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) adaptive dampers which are installed as part of the £ 55,540 starting price.
Both the ID.4 GTX and GTX Max use the same 77 kWh battery – they deliver 301 and 491 miles, respectively, on a single charge.
A fast charge capability of up to 125 kW means that up to 199 miles of range can be added in 30 minutes.
A full charge with a 7.2 kW home wallbox takes about 12 hours and 40 minutes.
In addition to the IQ, all cars are fitted with a 12-inch infotainment setup as standard, which is connected to an augmented reality head-up display. Light LED matrix headlights and taillights with dynamic indicators
ID.4 GTX Max models receive additional standard equipment such as sports seats with integrated headrests, three-zone automatic air conditioning and a wide range of driver assistance systems such as lane assistants, emergency assistants and side assistants.
