Spied on! It’s the ID.Buzz passenger car without camouflage!

Yes, the long-awaited modern microbus can be seen in its entirety in these photos and probably not far from production

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz has gotten a lot of buzz lately (I’m sure VW has never heard that before). It was last seen in the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden. The white, all-electric van is dressed in zero camouflage and still does an excellent job of camouflaging itself against the snow-covered backdrop.

The espionage photos are confident that this full-body prototype is one of two variants, this being the version of the passenger car as opposed to the commercial van. It is the first time that this van – or as some prefer to call it, Microbus – has been spotted with all the windows visible instead of being covered by an actual camouflage (in previous spy footage, the rear windows were covered).
The glass windows allow a better view of the vehicle and show the seats in the second and third rows. The van does not get the seats and opts for additional cargo space.
As previously reported, the automaker has confirmed battery capacities of 48 kWh to 111 kWh. Single-engine versions will put out 201 horsepower on the rear wheels and the top speed will be limited to 160 km / h. The range is estimated at around 547 km according to the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure. Volkswagen is also developing a dual-motor option for better traction, likely with all-wheel drive and more power.

Previously, there was some confusion about the different variants, as well as which ones would come to North America. Europe is to get a van with six passengers (eight seats in total?) For ridesharing – each passenger has access to a private screen – as well as the van, which is intended for light parcel deliverers. American buyers will get the Microbus, but as a four-person van (six seats in total?), Two rear-facing (and I’m feeling sick).

Volkswagen is considering hourly electric car subscriptions for autonomous driving
Originally debuted four years ago as the ID Buzz Concept, the ID.Buzz is set to take its place on the car market in Europe next year as the 2023 model; and in model year 2024 in the US (and likely – hopefully – Canada). From 2025, the ID.Buzz will also be equipped with autonomous driving technology by the American Argo AI.
