Special edition of VW Taigun launched
Volkswagen is introducing a celebratory First Anniversary Edition of the Taigun to celebrate the compact sports utility vehicle’s completion a year ago since its launch.
The Taigun special edition developed in Germany is offered in the Dynamic Line Topline variant, which is available with the one-liter petrol engine 1.0 TSI MT (manual transmission) and AT (automatic transmission).

The new variant has a sportier look, gets a new body color and also gets a special 1st anniversary badging on the outside and inside. Furthermore, the Taigun First Anniversary Edition comes with additional features and more value with a special kit consisting of 11 specially designed items, including high-lux fog lights, body-colored door panels, black C-pillar graphics, black roof foil, door – Edge protection, black ORVM caps, window covers as well as aluminum pedals.

The First Anniversary Taigun is available in a bright new color, Rising Blue, along with the existing Curcuma Yellow and Wild Cherry Red. The new variant will continue to be offered with the full range of over 40 safety features, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), up to 6 airbags, multi-collision brake, reversing camera, ISOFIX, and a tire pressure loss warning system.
In addition, it is equipped with three adjustable headrests in the rear and 3-point seat belts all around to secure the occupants.

The standard Volkswagen Taigun is available with two engine variants: a 1.0-liter TSI engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox, producing a peak output of 115 hp in the 5,000-5,500 rpm range. min and a peak torque of 178 Nm at 1,750 delivers -4,500 rpm.
While the 1.5 liter TSI EVO engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional 7-speed DSG gearbox and has a peak power of 150 hp in the 5,000-6,000 rpm range and a maximum Delivers torque of 250 Nm at 1600-3500 rpm. The 1.5 liter TSI EVO engine is also equipped with Active Cylinder Technology (ACT) and idle start/stop technology.
The new first anniversary special edition Taigun will be available at all 152 VW dealerships and touch points across the country. Some of the features are dealer-level trim, and the special edition costs around £30,000 more than the equivalent standard variant.
