Introduction of the Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition shortly; Arrives at dealers
Volkswagen presented the new Polo Matte Edition in March 2021. The model that is slated to hit the market this festive season has already reached dealers. The upcoming Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition is expected to be the cheapest production car with the matte color scheme. Based on the GT equipment, the new special model is expected to cost around 20,000 rupees more than the standard Polo GT, which is currently available for 9.93 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition has a matte finish on the body parts as well as the contrasting finish in glossy black on the door handles, ORVMs and the rear spoiler. It comes with the silver V-spoke alloy wheels. The new special edition retains the original design elements and dimensions. The sporty treatment continues in the cabin. The new Polo Matte Edition offers a completely black interior with fabric upholstery in a checked design.
The matt edition of the hatchback will have a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink connectivity. It will also get the Climatronic automatic air conditioning. The list of features includes a multi-information display, a simple dashboard, keyless entry, cruise control, bluetooth, AUX-IN and USB connectivity, footwell lights and more.

The standard safety kit for the upcoming Polo Matte Edition includes two front airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), rear parking sensors, automatically dimming rear interior mirrors and electric windows with anti-trap protection.
No changes are made under the hood. The new Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition comes with the same 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine that powers the regular Polo GT. The petrol engine is tuned to a peak output of 110 hp and a maximum torque of 175 Nm. The power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. The new Matte Edition should reach 100 km / h from a standstill in 10.79 seconds.
