EXTREMELY DRUNK: Cops Say Boca Raton Man Three Times Limit

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man faces multiple charges of DUI after an accident near Powerline Road and Boca Del Mar Drive.

Renne De Sousa E Silva of SW 56th Avenue in Boca Raton is charged with DUI and DUI “damaging property or persons of others” after the incident around 8 a.m. Sunday. His blood alcohol content was 0.245, according to quotes verified by BocaNewsNow.com — more than three times the Florida legal limit of 0.08. It wasn’t immediately clear what the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office claims he hit.

Renne De Sousa E Silva was checked into the Palm Beach County Jail around 11 a.m. Sunday and was held there before being released of his own accord later in the day. A court date is pending.

He was driving a gray 2014 Volkswagen at the time of the crime.
