Electric vehicle fair in Goshen
GOSHEN, Ind. – The city of Goshen, the Michiana Area Government Council, and South Shore Clean Cities will host an electric vehicle expo on October 1st.
This expo takes place in the Goshen Town Hall parking lot at 202 South Fifth Street on October 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Everyone who takes part in the free trade fair has the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the electric vehicles on display and to find out about their advantages from the representatives present.
“The show will highlight the many benefits of EV driving, introduce members of the community who are already using the technology, and help attendees get the information they need to make the switch,” said Aaron Sawatsky-Kingsley, Director of Goshen’s Department of Environmental Resilience.
Electric vehicles to be shown include the all-electric Chevrolet Bolt, Nissan LEAF, Tesla Model S, 3 and Y and more.
The City of Goshen is excited to continue expanding and adapting the use of electric vehicles in the region.
“Access to on-site charging stations has really improved since our last event in 2018. The city has installed a free public charging station and two more will soon follow the Volkswagen agreement at the Goshen Public Library and the public parking lot near the Goshen Brewing Company, ”added Sawatsky-Kingsley.
According to the city’s climate protection plan, Goshen’s current task is to reduce emissions from light commercial vehicles by 25 percent by 2026.
