Candia man charged with involuntary manslaughter: court summary

BRENTWOOD, NH – The following people were recently indicted in Rockingham County Superior Court.

Sasha M. Phaneuf, 36, of Nottingham Road in Deerfield for possession of a controlled drug; Actions forbidden – Fentanyl indictment on November 6th, 2021 in Eppingen.

Elijah I. Poisson, 30, of Auburn Street in Plaistow on charges of second degree assault, strangulation and domestic violence. He was charged by police with strangling an intimate partner on November 25, 2021 in Plaistow.

David C. Richardson, 49, with a last known address at Riverdale Road in Weare or Spruce Street in Manchester, for a felony count of unauthorized use of a powered vehicle or a charge on rented property. He has been accused by police of willfully refusing or neglecting to return a 2020 Volkswagen Passat owned by Avis-Budget Car Rental between March 6 and May 7, 2021 in Londonderry.

Angel L. Rivera, 35, of Stevens Street in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on a felony count of firearm threats. He was charged by police with pointing a firearm at two other people while walking out of a home in Newton on July 9, 2020.

Giovanni A. Rivera, 29, of South Policy Street in Salem for a felony count of stolen property charges. He was charged by police with keeping or receiving a 2005 Acura TSX belonging to someone else that he knew was stolen in Salem on November 7, 2021.

Karina Rivera-Rose, 33, of Howard Street in Randolph, MA, charged with theft by deception, forgery and identity fraud, all felonies, and three larcenys by false filing of charges. She was charged by Salem police with drawing a check for $3,500 on the Digital Federal Credit Union account of two others on March 11, posing as someone else to gain access to cash, and a stolen one Obtaining another person’s license plate, check book and ID card, 2021.

Robert B. Ryan, 37, of University Street in Auburn, Maine, a criminal in possession of a controlled drug; Actions Prohibited – Methamphetamine Charge on March 25, 2021 in Portsmouth. He was previously convicted of unlawful possession of a proposed drug in Franklin Unified Court in October 2015, according to the indictment.

Anthony J. Santos, 43, of Vista Drive in Canaan for a felony possession of fentanyl on December 1, 2020 in Salem.

Justin W. Scott, 41, of Allen Street in West Buxton, ME, charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of more than 5 grams of crack cocaine with intent to dispense and possession of fentanyl charges, all felonies, on January 4, 2021 in Portsmouth.

James Shankle, 49, of Chester Road, Candia, on two counts of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of involuntary manslaughter, all felonies. He was accused by police of driving a drunk Polaris Ranger at high speed and crashing it, killing two people in Candia on September 12, 2021. Todd J. Sherys, 50, of Sesame Street in Raymond for burglary. He was charged by police with breaking into a home on Woodland Circle in Raymond on February 9, 2020.
