By Khorri Atkinson (Sept. 30, 2021, 7:28 p.m. EDT) – Car dealers accuse BMW AG, Volkswagen AG and other German automakers of conspiring to control diesel emission system specifications and setting steel prices to inappropriately trade The Ninth Circle said a recent enforcement action by the European Union’s antitrust regulator confirms some of their antitrust allegations.

The dealers, known as direct buyers, are using the € 875 million ($ 1 billion) fines the European Commission imposed on BMW and Volkswagen in July for their involvement in an emissions technology cartel their offer to revive proposed class actions against the German automaker.
