2023 Pagani Utopia, 2023 Lincoln Corsair and VW ID.5 GTX Xcite Concept: Your morning letter
Good morning and welcome to our daily roundup of automotive news from around the world starting with…
GM is buying up Buick dealerships unwilling to move to electric vehicles
The transition to electric vehicles can prove expensive for dealerships across the US, meaning some are reluctant to take the plunge, given that Cadillac dealerships spent an average of $200,000 to make the switch last year. Now General Motors is offering to buy out any of its 2,000 Buick dealerships unwilling to make the investment. While a buyout would mean dealers could no longer sell Buicks, most dealerships sell other GM-branded products like GMC, meaning they wouldn’t have to close shop entirely. On the other hand, at Chevrolet, dealers will not be forced to make the switch as the brand allows them to continue to exclusively sell ICE vehicles.

There’s a choice of manual or automated single-clutch transmissions and “semi-active” suspension. Meanwhile, this new hypercar meets all global emissions regulations, which hopefully means that after the Huyara’s demise, sales in North America will be allowed for safety reasons.
2023 Lincoln Corsair gets a facelift, hands-free driving, and bigger screens
The 2023 Lincoln Corsair is here, with some minor exterior improvements, interior additions, and revised options. The styling differences are centered on the nose of the car, which features a more prominent grille, higher intakes and a horizontal chrome bar. Inside is a new larger 13.2-inch touchscreen, while the center stack has been revamped, with some of the physical controls eliminated and relegated to the menus. The new ActiveGlide ADAS suite offers hands-free lane change assist, Blind Sport Assist and the improved Predictive Speed Assist. Finally, the Corsair drops the 2.3-liter turbocharger from the range.
